Hedgehog Cakes: The Sweet Weapon of Terror explores the intersection of historical and media-fueled trauma through the format of popular 2000s documentary TV shows that investigated true crime and speculative events of the past.
In the investigation, the team focuses on Nikolai Yezhov — a Soviet official who led the repressions of the 1930s, known as the Yezhovshchina.
